News from Laroussi lake

Another new 60lber !, 26th Apr
After a long and cold winter, spring is finally here. In fact, we had the wettest winter in France for 20 years! Fishing has been slow but things are better and better now with the warmer temperatures. Forties, fifties and sixties have been landed so far.
Last week, a special fish came out. Mr Diment's party, regular and happy anglers at Laroussi, caught a few nice fish including "Le Grand Male".
It's the biggest male carp of Laroussi. Two Years ago they had it at mid forty, last year at a low 50 and this week at 62lb !
Which means a new sixty for the lake. Congratulations to DZ for that great capture, perfect present for his birthday that week !

New Lake Record, 6th Mar
Congratulations to Stephen Knight (again) for another great catch.
After landing a superb 33lb winter Common and a rare bi-colour Crucian Carp of 4lb, he had a timid drop back on one of his rods. He decided to pick up the rod to see what was on. What a surprise to see a huge Rudd arriving at the net - 3lb14oz !
Another lake record.

What a start again !, 24th Feb
Huge congratulations to Steve Knight! He was the last angler in both Laroussi and Old Oaks to catch the last carp of the 2012 season (mid December).
Steve, loving the challenge, came back early February 2013 on Laroussi to try to seduce the first carp of the year and he did it with a lovely 26lb common. Braving the horrible weather nights and days and fishing in a water at only 4°C during several weeks proves the determination of Steve.
Second angler of the year on Laroussi is actually fishing right now.... Mr Naylor, alias Mr Sixty, is back !
Within 24hrs, fishing in a water at 4°C, -4°C air temp and snowing, he showed us again his skill by catching a superb 58lb mirror!
But Wayne wants more...
Last night, he landed his second carp at 67lb!!!! A new PB for Mr Sixty!
Congratulations, that's awesome! and still another 5 days to go!

Merry Christmas!, 24th Dec
It was too cold to fish for carp at Laroussi, so Mehdi went for the perch instead... & here's the two he caught. Both around 17 inches long, he calls them "The Twins". Merry Christmas!
