What a week's fishing!!! , 1st Apr
May 1st 2005
Hi David What a week's fishing!!! In 7 days, we have had 6 fifties: 50lb 12oz... 51lb 8oz... 53lb... 54lb... 54lb 8oz... 54lb 10oz. I'm waiting for 2 or 3 other big carp (ones which were between 45lb and 47lb last year) - I'm sure these fish are very, very close or are themselves fifties... So now we have at least 6 different fifties at Laroussi...
I have got a lot of photos of Mr Clarke and the fifty of Mr Kennett. If you need more information about the catches, the swim, the tactics, the baits etc..... Do not hesitate to ask me David.
Regards, Mehdi

Work on Swims, 1st Jan
Work on Swims
We've been carrying out work around the lake to improve the comfort of the swims. The pegs that were the least flat, the 'Anse' and the 'Haut Fond', have been levelled to make setting up camp easier.
The peg 'La Pointe' has been completely reworked. We have lowered it by 80cm to create a gentle slope all around and 2 steps have been cut in the bank to make it easier to net and release fish. We've also planted trees (weeping willows) and shrubs on the Pointe swim and the 2 Saules swim to help create some shade for the summer periods.
Fish
We would like to make a point about the Lake Record. The carp of 55lb 12oz captured by Mr Carpene is a known fish called 'Caro'. However, the second fish of this weight landed by the Belgian anglers at the end of October is in fact a different fish. It is indeed an original fish that has only been captured twice since we opened the fishery. The first time was by Mr Jackeman at 46lb after a one hour fight and the second time by Mr Buard at 55lb 12oz.
Best regards, Mehdi

Angling Lines Specials tempt 48lb Mirror at Laroussi!, 1st Jan
The Angling Lines Specials boilies have really got off to a flying start at our Laroussi venue this week, where the first fish of the season, a 48lb 4oz mirror, fell to the bait.
On the 15 March at 10:15pm French carper, Bruno Grosbois, landed this superb mirror from the fifteen acre gravel pit after baiting his line for the first time with these new carp baits. His tactics consisted of a standard safety clip set up with 3oz pear lead, a size 6 Kamazan hook on a Mantis hooklink. Fishing on a sloping bottom of sand and gravel from the Point swim, in about 12 feet of water.
Bruno had baited with about 1 kilo of pellets and around 30 free offerings. The water temperature was at just six degrees. Just for good measure he followed this fish with one of 36lb 5oz the next day. The 48lb'er represents a new personal best for the angler and is a fantastic start to the season for a venue that promises to throw up some spectacular catches this year.
It's worth noting that the Angling Lines Specials were particularly effective for Angling Lines director David Keep during his session in October 2004, where he landed some 30 carp to 49lb plus.

New Pb mirror!, 1st Jan
The friend of Mr Kirk has just caught a new Pb mirror! And what a fish! The most difficult carp and the most prettiest carp of the lake.
This fish has just been caught once in 2.5 years!!! 2 years ago the same fish was 33lb. Now the fish is in immaculate condition and came out at 38lb 8oz!!!! New lake record fully scaled!! Lovely fish!!! In my opinion, the best looking fish of the lake.
TOP TOP TOP TOP TOP ANGLING!!!!
