News from Laroussi lake

Biggest ever , 3rd Jul
Congratulations to Lee Hardley for catching the biggest Laroussi fish on a Zig rig at 46lb. He used a 8 feet long hooklink to seduce that big mirror. He also lost another big fish on the same rig. From what I know, that's the third fish caught off a proper zig rig and by far the biggest one !
Another well done to Carl Sharp for his new PB mirror " The Creature" at 57lb8oz.

Big fish time !, 6th Jun
After a slow start, fishing has finally started. Since the last 4 weeks, plenty of big fish has been landed at Laroussi. John Allen has caught his dream fish weighing at 67lb while His friend was landing a new lake record common at 50lb3oz.
Weight carp average is awesome, Mark Cooper had 51lb8oz average with 6 mirror !
Le " Grand male" at 62lb For Roy Van Goor and Dz, another new Pb.
Mark Finch had a new sixty for Laroussi at 61lb4oz. Other highlight was the first catfish out of the lake at 115lb !
Last week saw another 3 sixties out at 61lb, 63lb and 65lb4oz and 6 or 7 fifties !
Some big 40lb+ grass carp met hooks, best one at 46lb.
May was a super month seeing many many forties, fifties and sixties out week after week.
Weather is very sunny and warm this week, Carp started to spawn strongly on the 4 of june. ( 2 month later than 2012).

Update
Speaking to Mehdi on Monday and he reports that he saw carp spawning on Laroussi this week. With the weather staying warm it's likely to continue.
This also aligns with Margot lake which has also started to spawn this week.

If you want seriously big fish, Laroussi is your carp heaven., 19th May
Roy van Goor is a Laroussi regular, having landed a 61lb mirror on a previous trip, he returned for more this May.
